Overall Rank = 2000/5000

Pre-race routine:

Drank Naked Juice protein, showered, ate granola bar and drank cytomax
Event warmup:

Lite warmup from parking lot to start line
  • 6h 07m
  • 109 miles
  • 17.82 mile/hr

Good course, but very rough for about 30%.
What would you do differently?:

Drink and eat more, push harder in second half of race. Need to drop shoulders and loosen, as I was very sore by 65 miles.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched alittle and sat for 15 minutes, then walked around for 15 minutes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Rough road, no aero bars, not enough eating/drinking, not enough training.

Event comments:

Great race! Will do again next year. Other than late start and no aero bars allowed, and rough roads in places, was a great race. Also got stuck for lights which was a pain in the ass, but still a great race.

Actual ride time was 6:07, but race time was 6:37 due to carrying bike through 2 washes and stopped 4 times at lights. Official time in race results was listed at 6:52, but this includes 15 minutes it took to get to the start line. (they started everyone's chip at 7am, but I didn't cross start line until 7:15)
