Pre-race routine:

getting up at o'stoopid:30 to get there on time. HR intervals on drive down when we almost hit a deer, then a skunk and then a possum + one almost missed sharp curve & a turn.

not much. time is about usual for me. doesn't matter whether it's a sprint or IM, my pace is about the same.

i was near to the end of the tzone so i didn't have to run far with my bike.

What would you do differently?:

ride a bit harder. ride felt good so i knew i didn't push enough.
oh - and ride a bit more than once per week the month leading up to the race.

started out pretty strong but faded near the end. got passed for 1st within 25m of the finish. :(

puch harder on the back bit.

chatting with friends, eating meat pies.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of training. after IM my hours per week switched to hours per month. i've not yet got my mojo back.

Event comments:

it's a fun one. well run with great software (we got embrodiered blankets). meat pies are great too.
