Swim
Comments: A prettry good swim for me. After IMLP open water doesn't scare me as much. I wanted to start swimming and not walk so that's what I did. It seem's weird to swim while people are walking around you but I kept my focus. It went well till the turn around where I went off course quite a bit. I coudn't see anything with the sun. What would you do differently?: sight better. Problably could shave a few minutes there.. Transition 1
Comments: I need to practice transition. I feel i'm so slow at it. Putting on socks and shoes while keeping my balance is a sight to see I'm sure. What would you do differently?: Practice, Practice Bike
Comments: good bike for me. I tried to go out strong. I'm getting better on the bike. I was pleased to average over 18.mph. The traffic was open and it was scary when we met up with the sprint group. A few cars came zooming by beeping their horns. I wish they would close traffic on that side of the road. What would you do differently?: climb better..downhills are getting better and i'm shifting much easier. An overall improvement which I will work on even more. I think losing some more weight would help. Transition 2
Comments: I was so mad when I got to my rack ..there was another bike in it's place ! There should be a penalty for that! My bike was crooked but I found a spot. What would you do differently?: Stay focused and not let things like that bother me. Run
Comments: run was ok. I felt really slow but ave was 9:16 so not horrible but I could definitly could improve there. I lost my endurolytes on the bike and I think it could have help here if I would have taken them at the end of the bike. It felt hot..It was cool to see one of my teamates yelling my name. It gave a big boost of energy. Thanks Sarah!! and Kara!! What would you do differently?: endurolytes before run. Keep a better pace by staying in the moment. Post race
Warm down: It was great to have my family there. My hubby was emotional when I finish. It was very touching. Got ART massage, waited for results. What limited your ability to perform faster: speed training would have helped a bit. coming off IMLP , training for this was hard. But it got my thirsty to try it again and improve my time. I was really happy with my time. I wanted to break 3 hrs and to come in at 2:49 I was psyched!! Event comments: great race..just a lot of road traffic. Last updated: 2007-09-25 12:00 AM

got up around 4:15. fixed some bagel/pb and banana.woke up family and went on our way. nice drive, felt good and relax.
