The word of the day was PACE LINE. Saw lots of drafting by people. I know this is just a "practice" tri, but come on! There was a fair headwind in some places and I know that with a Hybrid I could have definitley benefitted from a little wheel sucking, but NO.

Overall I did much better on this one than last time at this location - I think new sl pedals and better hand position on my flat bars made me faster.

This is where my lack of training in the last month killed me. 2min/mi slower than the first time on this course, and it Hurt.

Event comments:

This was not my best race. With all of the stuff going on at home in the past month, I really haven't trained much and my result shows it. The race was fun, but It's definitely not as fun to just finish when I know I could have performed much better with more training. This was my last event of my first season. I'll do better next year!
