Swim
Comments: Seemed to have a good push from the current especially near the end. I swallowed a few giant gulps of salt water which would come back to get me. It was a long run to transition. I was out of the water in 19:12. What would you do differently?: Find someone to draft off of Transition 1
Comments: Good transition. What would you do differently?: Not much Bike
Comments: Another slow bike for me. The first couple of miles were on some rough roads. Saw a lot of water bottles on the ground. Transition 2
Comments: good transition for me. Run
Comments: It took me a while to get going. I ran the first mile in a little less than 8 minutes. After the first mile I picked it up. I tried to really push it the last mile. Everything was good until I hit the finishing chute. This is when the salt water in my stomach decided it had been there long enough. My mouth opened and out shot this explosion. I made it the next 10ft or so to the finishing mat and the process repeated itself. I'm sure it gave the people watching the finish line something to talk about. Amazingly, that was it for the sickness. I felt fine after a couple of minutes. What would you do differently?: Do more bricks so I can hit my stride quicker on the run. Try to hold down the puke for an extra 5 seconds so as not to gross out the spectators. Post race
Event comments: This is one of my favorite races that setup puts on. Last updated: 2007-10-01 12:00 AM
