Showed up and laid out my transtion area, duh.
Event warmup:

Didn't get a real warm up. My wife was part of a relay so I allowed myself to get a little distracted by them.

visibility in water was zero due to recent storm. It was nasty and left my suit smelling like poo. My swim was good. I was in the washing machine the whole time and I think I was slowed down a bit by the other swimmers. Navigation was dead on.

Timing mat was moved to water's edge this year so the long run to T1 was included in transition time. Transiton area very full with multiple AG's in each rack. Hard to tell if you were leading or chasing.

Bike was smooth. Becuase it was 2 loops it got very crowded the second loop. hard to tell if you were a leader or not.

Push harder. Didn't improve much over last time.

Passed a bunch of A types who cut in front of me at the dismount because I already had my shoes off. haha. Ground painful on bare feet. No socks. Took a gulp of water and I was off.

Seemed like I was passing everyone. the only one who passed me wasn't in my AG. Good. Again so many on course hard to tell how I was doing. No drinking on run. Too short. I sprinted at last 100yards

Same story as 2005. No activities. Vendors and Volunteers are bored. All staff seem to be just waiting for race to end. A lot a newbie and vet racers makes the competetion fun. Lots of room on bike course is cool.
Fun race and I'm happy with my improvement
