Comments: The run initially felt great, i felt that everything was going according to plan with the pace, the rythm, calorie intake, water etc however i think that i went out a little too fast and by the time the 2 mile hill came around at the 19/20 mile point i could not keep the pace i wanted and ended up pushing through the last 6/7 miles!! What would you do differently?: I needed to pace myself a little better for the long hill, and i needed to continue the calorie intake... i felt great and did not think twice about a gel from about mile 10 to about 19 (the hill)..... silly mistake! leave all clothing behind in the car and get in line early! otherwise i was happy with my first marathon!! got another one in a month!! whoo hoo Post race
Warm down: walked around for about 30 min with some light stretching etc What limited your ability to perform faster: calorie intake, experience and some more training needed! Event comments: Great Marathon, will be back again!! Last updated: 2007-10-06 12:00 AM

Woke up early and got my 10min wake up run in.
had some breakfast coffee with the usual long run routine etc
Got down to the start line where i had plenty of time (so i thought)
did warm up 20-30min with some strides and drills, a few light stretchs and then headed up to the start line!
should have got rid of my clothes well before the warm up and these caused a little anxiety as to where the clothes check in was.... found it and finally got in line with about 30 sec to spare.
