Swim
Comments: Swim included LONG run to the transition area. I had no problems getting out, but the riptide caught me on the way back in and sapped a lot of my strength. It was very congested given that the swim is only 1/4 mile. Not much distance to spread things out. What would you do differently?: I haven't done as many ocean swims lately. Much different than the pool, especially the getting out and getting back in part. Transition 1
Comments: Comparing to others in my group, it appears I was pretty quick. Bike
Comments: Slower than last year which is to be expected since I don't bike outside of the trainer. Just kept a nice steady pace. Got passed a lot and passed many people as well. All different skill levels which made for a challenge because the course is narrow. Had to pick your opportunities to pass people. What would you do differently?: Train more. Transition 2

Comments: I was shooting for under 8 minute miles so pretty close to my goal. Course is on concrete the entire way which isn't the greatest. What would you do differently?: Incorporate speed work. I pretty much do the same speed on my runs. Haven't done track workouts in quite a long time. Post race
Warm down: Saw Chris come in strong. Glad to hear he medalled in his division. Walked around and then had some breakfast at Hennesy's. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training, focus, discipline. Even though I was three minutes slower than last year, I am not bothered by it at all.
