Swim
Comments: I'm pretty sure I won the swim but somebody screwed up w/ the timing so it shows somebody with an ungodly 7 minute time. Maybe they went with the wrong heat. What would you do differently?: Use anti-fog drops so that my goggles don't fog up by the end. Had difficulty locating the last buoy and going directly in to the transition area. Transition 1
Comments: Still don't do the already-clipped shoes thing. Also had a lot of trouble getting wetsuit off while running. What would you do differently?: Work on pulling suit off when very tired and while running. Also work on riding w/ feet on shoes. Bike
What would you do differently?: Bring my computer! Also work harder at the bike. I was slacking. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Took it way too easy on the run, I'm scared to push my pace without having my computer to tell me how fast I'm going. Post race
Warm down: Walked around for 15-20 minutes, stretched What limited your ability to perform faster: Was sick the night before ,not feeling great on race day, and I forgot my GPS/computer. I've never run or biked without it before especially in a race so I was a bit lost. Event comments: They screwed up with the timing so results took a while to show up. I think there is still an error with the swim segment as somebody has a ridiculously fast time and I verified that I was first out of the water in my heat. Last updated: 2007-10-22 12:00 AM

Wheat bagel, blue machine smoothie, lots of water up until 1:00 before heat start.
Ran for 10-15 minutes including 4-5 strides. Swam for about 5 minutes including several short sprints.
