Run
Comments: This is the race that's uphill both ways! The first half is a steady incline and the second half is rollers. The sun came out and it actually ended up being a nice run. It snowed all day yesterday. The whole course was covered, some packed hard, some fresh, and some ice. Yak Trax definitely saved the day. I was hoping to be faster than last year and I was. By ONE second! This year I came in 68/258 which puts me at the 26% mark. Last year I came in 87/197 which was 44% (on dry pavement). Big percentage difference for only 1 second! Post race
Event comments: Lots of BT people doing the race but I only ran into Beka66 and AndriaLL. I looked for skarl but we never found each other even though we knew exactly what kind of hat we'd each be wearing. I just looked at the finishing times for the BT crew that have logged their race reports and we have some awesome runners in this group. That means there's still hope for me! One other observation on my part. I'm finding I like the longer distance runs. I feel like I never quite reach my happy place in a 5K. Anyone else like that? Last updated: 2007-10-25 12:00 AM

I skipped the usual oatmeal and went with an English muffin and coffee this morning. The temp was only 6 degrees at 8:00 a.m. so I debated whether to blow this race off. Finally showered and decided to bite the bullet and go rather than risk being called a sissy girl ... cuz I ain't.
I kept moving. Jogging, jumping, short sprints. It was too cold to stand still.
