Comments: A PR, but a little disappointed. I felt good and was taking it easy to the midway point. Lost my pack at mile 11 for a pee break. Ran alone from mile 11 to 17. At mile 17 a half marathon runner paced me for a mile, then he left. I could start to feel fatigue set in at 21. I'm actually pretty pleased with my low eight min miles base upon the fatigue I was feeling during miles 21-24. Wheels really came off on the last two uphill miles. 3094 cal. What would you do differently?: I feel that losing my running pack so early ultimately hurt me. I ran alone from mile 11-17 and my times started to wander a bit and I think I used more energy than I thought I was. I need to focus my training on my long runs to improve my distance endurance. As I started training for this marathon, I would severely fatigue at 17 miles. During my last long run I was able to hold the fatigue off until 19-20 miles. I didn't feel like the fatigue hit me hard until 21 miles on this marathon. It's an improvement, but not where I want to be. ![]() Post race

Up at 0730. One bowl of oatmeal cereal and a bottle of Ensure.
Stretch and 3 min easy jog to get my HR into 140s. I purposely did not warm up much to avoid starting out too fast.
