Comments:

Run went really well. drink & Powergel at 3.1 miles, drinks at 5, & 6 miles. At 8 miles used 2nd powergel 7 accellerade. John, Joe & I each took the lead pacing each other for miles 2-8 it worked well that each of us was the pace person. Mile 9 Joe got cramps because he didn't drink fluids on the race (it was his 1st race ever)

At 10 miles started to slow, with the hill, used more water, but realized I was under my 2 hour mark, so kept moving.

At 12 Miles wanted to walk bad. Legs felt like lead, however the crowd started really getting deep, and couldn't bring myself to walk in front of the crowd so ran it in.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing came away with a PR, but I need better training.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretch, Popcsilce, enjoyed getting a tan.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

A couple of things come to mind,
1) 4 Glasses of wine the day before -- watching the Seahawk game, and at dinner
2) Late dinner (I got us lost going to the resturant) so we finished dinner at 10 PM
3) At Dinner at a couple of desserts
4) Not getting to sleep early, we went to bed at 11:30 & got up at 6.

Event comments:

Best run race I've come across will do again,

Performance: Good
Course: Course is flat with 1 hill at 10 miles. Course starts on Jefferson, moves to 7th, goes a long way on McDowell (Really flat), then moves south at the zoo, which is wear the hill is. 20,300 folks in the 1/2 marathon, 2nd largest 1/2 in the US. Start uses corals where 1000 folks start every 1 minute based on finish time. This makes the start much better as you don't have to run through all the folks who self seed thinking they will get done in 1 hour and then run a 3 hour race.
