Pre-race routine:

got the family up and out too meet my mother, sister and her kids at the race. Watched yhe kids in their fun run. Only saw my daughter due to the layout and timming issues.she started dead last only to embrace the slow but sure philosophy. Ended up passing a few by the end!! First race she was not DFL!! So proud of her.
Event warmup:

Met up with PtCruizer, Max, D.K., Scott, Ababak, Tri Again and her kids. Max PT, TA's kids and my wife set out to walk the 5k together. PT and my DW first road race!!

Comments:

What a great time the 6 of us had!! PT set the pace and we hung on for dear life ;) TA's kids made me want to have our kids join us next year!!

Post race
Warm down:

Met back up with the 5 milers. DK had the best cookies to share. TA gathered the rest of her family back together, and Ababak relished in her PR!! Very happy for since she has been working so hard.

The pies were gone when we got in, along with the finishers medals. have sent an e-mail to get our medals
