Comments:

It took Matt and I a few minutes to cross the starting line. Tons of people there! I told Matt to run his own race and we would meet up after the race at the expo. It was a crowded course, lots of people walking and with strollers. It was tough getting around people, was forced to walk at first since there was no way to get around people. Hit mile 1 at 10:30, was shocked that I was there so quickly because of all of the walking I did in the crowd. I was amazed at the amount of teenagers on the course walking about half a mile in. 3 girls were walking and were complaining,"where is the finish line?" It's really sad that three 15 year-old girls can't even run a half a mile! After mile 1 was able to get more running in. I passed a guy with a Vineman 70.3 shirt and I yelled to him that I did the race this summer. We both yelled a quick congrats to each other. I kept pushing my pace since the course was so flat and my legs were feeling good. Sprinted the last few hundred yards and crossed the finish line in 29:26! Was thrilled with my time. PR baby!!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, great race for me!
Post race
Warm down:

Found Matt at the expo, he finished less than 1 minute in front of me.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Crowded course, but I had a great race!

Event comments:

There was a masters race and a 40 and under race. Matt and I wound up running in the masters race although we are under 40. It was not clear which race was going off. Lots of people under 40 ran the "masters" race.
