Run
Comments: held BQ pace through 16 very comfortably at 2:29, then began to slow without realizing it. Mile 20 at 3:11, so really slowed down but felt very good. Best marathon prep in 5 years and best result in 5 years so I am very happy. What would you do differently?: Focus on coming up to pace in "Pace" long runs, realize that past mile 16 it will feel like work to stay on pace. Post race
Warm down: walk, eat, warm clothes. Walk back to hotel. Best I have felt post marathon. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of focus on maintaining pace in lopnger training runs. Event comments: biggest problem IMHO was no commmunication regarding course change, which was significant. Last updated: 2007-11-17 12:00 AM
