Run
Comments: My brother and I started slow - 11:00mpm for the first few miles. Bo was worried that if we kept that pace up, his endurance may be a bit limited. We stepped it up to ~10.5mpm which was just fine for me, and we were able to hold that for nearly the duration of the run, save for a few miles where we walked through water stops or pulled over to pee or poo. Had a bit of a quad cramp somewhere in mile 25 or so and I stopped to walk it out a little. The finish was uphill which kind of sucked, but the finish area was lined with folks on both sides which was definitely inspiring. What would you do differently?: Nothing. It was a good run. Post race
Warm down: Walk around, eat some grub. I dug the chicken broth and soft pretzels at the end. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of speed. Event comments: PHENOMENAL volunteers. Plenty of them and they were great. Lots of drink stations. A COMPLETELY different experience from my first Marathon which had only 263 finishers. It was a lot of fun to run a marathon with thousands of other people. Last updated: 2007-11-20 12:00 AM

Bagel and coffee from Dunkin' Donuts at 5:00am in the hopes that I could evacuate my bowels before the race.
Walk 1.5 miles to the start line from hotel. A bit of stretching. Wait in line for bathroom.
