Run
Comments: Broke away from the masses a little later than I wanted. The place was packed with over 2,200 runners. They decided to start the 5K and the 10K together in what resembled holding pens with pace markers. As usual, not everyone starts at the pace they run. The backlog was pretty brutal and weaving in and out was a challenge. Was able to maintain a strong pace despite a ronchy headache. Opened it up at mile 4 and again on mile 5. WoooooHooooooo!! What would you do differently?: Nuttin' Post race
Warm down: Chilled with the Hams and took in a BEAUtiful Thanksgiving morning. Only 1 thing would have made it a more PERFECT morning. Ah well- next time. What limited your ability to perform faster: A bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon last night..... Event comments: Another overall GREAT race on our traditional Thanksgiving morning... It was fun to HANG and race with my buds on such a family oriented day. A HUGE congratulations to Cotton for spankin' a 39m, Sammy the Bull for a 51m Carolina Sherpa Stoli for an AMAZING 21.4 in the 5K, Alfred Meneses for a killer 51m and me WIFE, Me Soul Mate for hangin' with me on Thanksgiving morning and walking a 5K in under 53 minutes.... The lyrics of the day that got me through the final mile in style were truly inspiring... "With every new day........Your promises fade away.......It's a fine day to see.....It's the last day for me, It's a Beautiful Day...." Sara Brightman- Harem Last updated: 2007-11-21 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5 and got ready with Mary and headed out. Nothing special to report.
For the first time, did a 10 minute warm up at leisure.
