Crazy swim. Around in circles and some parts are running through foot deep water and sand. Stayed relaxed. Much more relaxed than last year.

I had pre-clipped my shoes into the bike and then ran barefoot to the line and tried to get into the shoes on the bike. Easier said than done. I had to stop during the bike and get into the shoes.

Practice this shoe thing.

Tried to redline it as much as possible. I saw a pck in front of me drafting like crazy. It pissed me off and kinda ruined my experience.

Learn to get into shoes while riding.

About a mile into the run my heart rate started going through the roof. I got to a point where I realized I could not run anymore. I was thinking to myself, "I can't believe I am going to stop." I stopped for about 20s and caught my breath a little. I started running again as fast as I could. I walked the second water stop and pushed as best as I could till the end. I was kinda freaked out because about 5 guys passed me on the run and I did not pass any.
Course: Running path along river. A pretty long run for a sprint tri.
