Pre-race routine:

Woke up early and had a breakfast cookie and some fluids.
Event warmup:

Stood around the warming fires after a bus ride to the beginningg of the course.

Comments:

I ran with the plan to keep my HR in the mid to upper 150s for the first half, the low to mid 160s from mile 13 to mile 20 and the low 170s from mile 20 to the finish. It seemed to work pretty well and I don't think I had anything left at the end of the race.
What would you do differently?:

I probably could have done a bit better if I were more properly tapered but this was somewhat of a training run though I did taper a bit.
Post race
Warm down:

I immediately started rehydrating and eating some simple carbs and sugars, rested and had a massage.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

a short taper

Event comments:

The expo wasn't all that great but this is a smaller race and so it was really fine. This is an excellent race for its size.
