Swim
Comments: Swim felt good, read 27 something on my watch coming out.. took a bit to the timing mat.. but still need to get faster.. the water was very clean.. not much bumping, kicking, biting, and scratching in the water. The line was pretty straight to the bridge, felt like the current kept pushing me right.. hard to sight with my stupid goggles fogging up.. time for a new pair What would you do differently?: Swim more, new goggles, swim more, not skip swim workouts, swim more Transition 1
Comments: Stupid timing strap broke, had to spend time finding the chip, and then swoop down across each a mat.. what a dream come true ;) What would you do differently?: get my own chip strap.. practice Bike
Comments: The course is awesome.. I really do like it.. the first loop was fabulous for two reason.. much less busy, and the pros where all around.. and it is fun to watch them on the bikes.. the second loop was an exercise in riding with noobs.. people need to learn the bike rules and stay right.. I think marshals should be handing out blocking penalties to everyone riding on the left at 12 MPH.. my favorite experience was the guy who passes someone going about 10.. he is doing about 16, I am doing about 22.. and once he is in the left ahead of the person he is passing.. he reaches down for his water bottle and stops pedaling and slows to about 10.. good move.. any way.. my riding stunk.. I just mailed this one in.. my HR was average Z3.. I should have been 21+ but my legs weren't feeling up to it.. and mentally I was just enjoying the ride for fun.. not racing.. What would you do differently?: Ride hard, push it, and get my head in the game.. it was one of those days Transition 2
Comments: Not sure what I was doing in T2.. maybe baking.. shouldn't be this long What would you do differently?: Something Run
Comments: At this point my legs had started to curse at me.. they hurt before the race.. so I knew they would hurt during the race.. so I was just out there looking for the finish line.. I started strong but just couldn't hold it.. just kept counting down the miles like it was a chore.. the knees felt great, the hip not so much.. hey its progress on my injury prone legs.. the finish was awesome.. tons of people yelling and screaming.. that picked up the pace :) What would you do differently?: Run, Run, Run, not have a work picnic with sports for 5 hrs.. get my head in the game.. mailed this one in.. Post race
Warm down: Drank water, waited for shelly123 to finish with a faster time :) saw many BTers on the run, pre-race, and post-race.. you all had great races.. spoke to David Greenfield about doing a VT bike.. one day in the future I may have the only orange and maroon elite tri bike every made .. yay.. Watched the awards ceremony and at some awesome food. Best ever What limited your ability to perform faster: Me Event comments: Really excellent race, awesome food, great atmosphere.. I have done three large races.. this by far was the best atmosphere etc.. Last updated: 2007-12-23 12:00 AM

Went up a few days before the race. First to the jersey shore and stayed with shelly123's parents at their place.. hung out, relaxed, went out on their boat.. 1500+ HP is an interesting experience.. Saturday went to watch kcav race.. good to see him .. it has been too long.. Then went over to packet pickup and shelly123's parent house by Philly
Setup transition, and then attempt to commit suicide holding it on the bus ride over to the swim start.. every bounce was painful.. thank goodness the line for the Schuylkill was shorter than the porta potty
