Swim
Comments: Took in a lot of water in the very beginning. Was able to keep up with some of the more faster swimmers. I never got passes by the wave group behind me! About 4 minutes faster than last year. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Transition took longer than I wanted. I could not seem to get my feet dry. Bike
Comments: I really went out and attacked the bike course this year and did so much better than last. About 9 minutes faster than last year. Transition 2
Run
Comments: The humidity got me at mile one. Struggled getting up the major hills in mile two. About the same time as last year. Post race
Warm down: Lots of walking around. Tried to get something to eat, but my stomach didn't want any parts of it. I just kept drinking water and found a nice shade tree to try and stretch out. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nutrition. I wasn't able to really keep any solid food down the week leading up to the tri. I would get sick about an hour after I ate anything. I kept tring to eat, but my stomach didn't like me. I think if I would have been able to keep food down, I don't think I would have hit the wall in mile two of my run. I pushed through, and finished strong. I shaved 14 minutes off of last years time and I am really proud of that. Event comments: I love this race Last updated: 2007-12-26 12:00 AM
