Comments: I dreaded it when they said 'No wetsuits', but 250m into the swim, I knew I could do it, and I actually enjoyed it, probably because I have never swam that far without a wetsuit before. Arms felt like lead weights in the second swim. What would you do differently?: Nothing, I loved it. Transition 1
Comments: I haven't got Tri shoes yet only my roadies, so an expected time delay there. Also had a minor hiccup with my helmet buckle. What would you do differently?: Purchase some new Tri shoes Bike
Comments: I pushed it hard through the hills and corners, I think it paid off in the end. What would you do differently?: I am happy with both bike legs. Transition 2
Comments: No problems here, probably the most straight forward part of the race. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: When I saw the last hill on the first run, I wanted to walk, my head was saying 'Yes' and my legs just said 'no more hills', my head won in the end an fortunately the turn around point was at the top. What would you do differently?: More hill work with my run training. Post race
Warm down: Long walk What limited your ability to perform faster: Lungs felt good for a change, and with just 2 weeks solid training I think my overall result was great. I need more run training. Event comments: A good challenge to anyone. Last updated: 2008-01-01 12:00 AM
