Comments:

Keeping cool was not a problem. Several layers, including a full zip fleece top layer, gloves and a balaclava help regulate the cold.

Ran a decent race considering the cold, wind, and trail conditions. Could have pushed a little harder through the race, but it would not have made much difference in my rankings.

Ran steady pace for first couple of miles then negative splits from there.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. This was a good excuse to get out of the house on a holiday and join up with other deranged people looking to exercise outside on a bitterly cold day.
Post race
Warm down:

Sit at the bar at Quaker Steak and Lube and drink the free Capital Brewing Company beer.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Desire and cold weather.

Event comments:

Friendly runners, great volunteers, and a good turnout on a cold holiday morning. Chip timed and decent goodie back with a commemorative pint glass. Well worth the $15 entry fee.
