Comments: This was a training run and low priority race since I only started running four weeks ago, after six weeks off to heal peroneal tendinitis/sprained ankle. I ran the first 11 miles at a very comfortable pace of just under 9 minute miles then stepped up the last two miles to close to 8 minutes each. I felt great on the run and was pleased with my time (which was only 9 seconds slower then my PR). What would you do differently?: I should have ate a little more closer to the race. I was hungry until I had some Gu at mile 8. Post race
Warm down: The usual beer! What limited your ability to perform faster: I was under-trained (longest run was 9 miles a week before the race and I only ran 16 miles since January) But all things considered I was happy with my time.
