Comments: Yikes! Cold day - below or near freezing at the start. One of my slowest runs in a long time. But totally expected anyway. Haven't run an inch in 2 and a half months since the marathon in Jan. This was a season opener - for training! :) Last year I had already been pounding 5x a week swim/bike/runs.. This year NOTHING and it showed. Actually ran 5min, walk 1 the entire race to not destroy my legs too badly. It worked pretty well. Now back in business and getting back into the tri training groove.. What would you do differently?: Train at least 1 day before a half marathon. :) ![]() Post race
Warm down: Banana, bagel, and limp to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Going to go out on a limb, and say 0 training. Event comments: Best to treat it like a training run with 366 friends. Flat, boring, no spectators.. but very cheap and fun to run in an organzed event as opposed to around my house.
