Comments: Used a 5min run, 1min walk interval. If i could avoid walking on the downhills I did. Tried to rest only on the flats or on the uphills. What would you do differently?: More hill training. Post race
Warm down: Waited for Jess, Isaac and Saida to get to the finish. We miscommunicated about the finishing time at the 2/3's mark. Walked around eating bagels and cookies until they got there and then walked around with Isaac to try to pick up extra schwag. :) He liked looking at everything. What limited your ability to perform faster: Leg strength for the uphills. Just didn't have anything left for the last 1.5mile hill and then started cramping the on the last .6mile downhill so I couldn't pick the pace up very much. Event comments: Train for hills! RunTexDistanceChallenge placings to date. Overall- 189 out of 481total, 39%(up 113net, 101gross from 302/695 43%, 214drops). Got the family all ready and showed up about fifteen minutes before the start. It was a pretty relaxed start.
Didn't do too much to warm up. I figured the first hill would do it for me.
