Pre-race routine:

Ran for 5 minutes and stretched for 10 minutes. I was hiding under a big tree because the rain was coming down pretty hard at one point. Placed myself with Matt in the 6 minute/mile zone so that I wouldn't be slowed down too much at the start. Beat my last year's time by a whole second!

Comments:

Ran 7 minute miles all the way. Didn't have any problems breathing but my legs were really heavy. Had to run with my rain jacket. I could have pushed a little harder at the end but the strong head wind was making it tough to run.
What would you do differently?:

Push harder at the end.

Walked and ran a little with Kristina.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The strong win and rain.

Event comments:

Too bad they didn't have chip timing. For a race of that magnitude they should. My should didn't hurt my feet as I thought they would.
