Swim
Comments: This probably was the best OWS for me. Passed a few people but I tried to stay to the outside. I hate getting beat up on the swim. Actually got to stand and get a breather just past the last bouy. Sighting was spot on. What would you do differently?: Really need to work on getting into the flow a bit quicker and not slow down Transition 1
Comments: Was good about trying to get the suit off coming out of the water, but had to sit down and get it over the feet. What would you do differently?: Try and get the suit off before I get to the bike. Bike
Comments: I loved this bike course. I had a really great time. Olivia passed me just about 2 miles out of transition and really worked hard to keep up with her. I did get past her but she passed me in the end and I didn't want to give it all and not have anything left for the run. What would you do differently?: I don't think I'd do anything different except for maybe trying to get some aero bars for the bike. Transition 2
Comments: My transitions are slowly getting a bit faster. HAd a hard time remembering where the rack was and had to slow fown to find it. What would you do differently?: Remember where the heck my rack is!!! Run
Comments: This year I actually came out of transition the right way and did all the run. Saw Maddy ahead of me and tried my hardest to catch her. By the time I got to the turn around I was right on her heels but just couldn't get past her. My goal for this run was to try and not walk but that hill got the best of me and had to walk just a small portion. After the turn around I also had to slow to a walk to get my HR down and walked 1 min. That's where I lost Maddy.:( The heat was really starting to get to me. Susan yell for me to get past the guy beside me and to not let him beat me so I pushed hard past him for a strong finish. What would you do differently?: Not walk if I could help it. I always seem to maybe a a bit left after the race so I could have pushed harder. Post race
Warm down: Strolled over to the club tent after a stop at the tent with a sprinkler running. That was awesome!!! Grabbed some bar-b-que, and celebrated a great race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat!!! Event comments: The only bad thing I could say about this Set-up race was they had run out of water at the finish. I think they should have had another water stop for the run. Last updated: 2008-01-10 12:00 AM

Nervous stomach woke me up at 4:30. Was hoping to be able to go back to sleep but NO. Grabbed my stuff, piece of banana bread and some coffee. Then out the door. Was a nice peaceful drive along the parkway to the race.
Not much except for the 3/4 mile walk from the parking lot. Got the transition set up and the spent some time under the CAT tent with the club members.
