Swimming is my weakest. Just cannot get it together in the swim..I was good with my time though. It is what I expected.

What would you do differently?:

Took too much time putting everything on. My hands were numb and it was hard to get my helmet clipped and get my shoes on.

lOOKIN G BACK, i THINK i COULD HAVE PUSHED HARDER AT THE END. My feet and hands and legs were numb. I was really cold and was scared if I pushed too hard at the end I would do bad on the run.

Forgot to take helmet off....duh! It was really hard to get race # on b/c I was so cold and could not feel my hands.

I had no problem keeping cool! I did not drink anything, but I never do during a 5k.
As you can see, this is my strongest point. I was able to pass lots of people. By mile 1, my legs felt good and I was able to really start running...until I came to the mud.
What would you do differently?:

Pushed harder at the end.

Warm down:

There was none as it was so cold...I never warmed up.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Cold, rain, Hail, and being so new to all this and really not knowing how hard I should push at first.

Event comments:

The volunteers were the BEST. They stood out in the rain...many of them soaking wet. All of them had a big smile on their face and were very encouraging.

Course: MUDDY! I think I would have done better if I did not have to walk and wade through so much mud. The run course sucked...There were bikers walking their bikes to their cars on the run course. It was hard to get around them.
