Pre-race routine:

Was sicker than a dog! Was curled up in a ball in the hotel room, cold medicine(I know bad, but either that or not breathing) and water...so much water I grew gills!
Event warmup:

Finding a place to park and stretching.
Run
  • 1h 59m 36s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 09m 08s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt it was a good run, my goal was to get under 2:00, considering I haven't trained well enough for the winter and was sick it was good. It is nice to do because it gets you reved up for the rest of the year.
What would you do differently?:

Train.
Post race
Warm down:

Well....considering my ride didn't show up...I walked for 5 miles back to the finish line before some wonderful kind hearted fellow runners picked me up. Drank water on the way back and believe it or not was not as sore as I was after the Denver Marathon. Still limping but not too bad.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Having pneumonia.

Event comments:

While talking to my local saviors, I would have to agree. There are probably more scenic areas of pheonix they could have planned the race through, but hey at least now I know where to get porn in Phoenix.
