Comments: I felt prepared for the distance but was concerned about the hills. I kept a good pace through out the race. Mile seven was tough(Walnut Street) Other than that I feel that I ran a good race. I finished strong and passed about 10 people in the last 3/4 mile. What would you do differently?: Get some hill training in. That is rather difficult in Long Beach. Post race
Warm down: Had some water, bannana and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: HILLS. Event comments: Challenging course. I will be back next year and recommend would anyone interested in it Last updated: 2008-01-19 12:00 AM

Had a whole wheat bagel and peanut butter, drove to the other end of the earth to get to the race.
Light jog for about 10 minutes with a friend of mine who was runing also.
