Pre-race routine:

Had coffee and some peanut butter toast for breakfast. Arrived early and almost took a nap before other BT'ers started showing up.
Event warmup:

Met up with Sal,Birkie, Rabkaman, and Tom before the race. It's great to run into fellow B.T'ers again. Tom and I wanted to run a hard race so we did a 5-10 minute pre race jog to warm-up.

Comments:

This was the best run I have ever had. It was a PR by far. Really have to thank Matchman for pushing hard the whole race. I wouldn't have gone that hard on my own. Not going to say I was enjoying the run while we did it, but it sure felt great when we were done. I think under 8's for Human race in March is a good posibility.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, this was very rewarding.
Post race
Warm down:

Hung out with Tom and Rodger and just enjoyed the day for awhile.

Event comments:

I really do like this race. It is the first race of the year and gets the competitve juices flowing. This will be my last hard run until The Human Race in March. This Z1 and Z2 base building seems to be working.

Performance: Good
Treated this as an LT test. Had an average heart rate of 186 with a high of 206. Killer final hill to finish the race.
Course: I really like this course. Gradual downhill for 3 blocks or so then a pretty steep hill going down. Then flat as a pancake till you hit the hill for the final push.
