Comments: Felt REAL good first mile. Spent most of that picking through the pack as I started near the back. First bridge incline was fine. Downhill was good as well. Thought we'd turn around at the bottom but had to run through the park (and extra 1/4 mile). Was a bit of mental let down as I thought I was on a KILLER pace. Second bridge incline was hard. Walked at top for about 20 seconds. Pushed it in the last mile and ended up getting into a sprint finish with a 70 year old man (who I only beat by about 5 paces). Ended up breaking my PR by minutes. What would you do differently?: Start closer to the front. Lenghten my strdie on the downhills. Post race
Warm down: Stretched, had some juice and part of a free sub. What limited your ability to perform faster: Legs were getting sore. Event comments: The "chip times" listed are not true chip times. They only used them for finish times so my "official" time is minutes slower than my "chip" time. They need to fix this. What's th point of having chips if you only used them fr the finish.
