Run
Comments: Waited for the start with our crew. Mike and I ran the first 4 together. After 4 I picked it up a bit, I thought Mike came with me, but he didn't. At that point I had hacked up about all I had so it was a bit easier running. Managed to hold the pace fairly consistent to negative split the race by about 1 minute. What would you do differently?: Not get sick and piece together more than an hour of 2 of consecutive sleep the night before. Post race
Warm down: Walked down the side walk and cheered the rest of the guys in. Changed to a dry shirt and had some soup and hot chocolate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Illness and conditioning. All in all I'll take this. It is probably the fastest I have ran this distance. I know it is faster per mile than I ran the 15K last summer. Event comments: Good race put on by racers. After reading dexters race report, this is all you get. I can't touch that one! Got up after a terrible nights sleep. This cold is really kicking my butt. Had a little coffee and some breakfast and went to a meeting at work. Made this poor guy drive in from Buffalo for an interview at 7am so I could race. Dexter met me at the office, Mike (my BIL was at the interview) and we went and picked up marmadaddy. Made it to the race site with time to spare.
Not much other than getting number and heading to the van to shed the extra layers.
