Swim
Comments: 1st time in open water style swim- not so bad. I got out in the lead right away, but there was this girl drafting off me the whole way. I tried kicking harder, sprinting away, losing her on the bouys, and cutting her off while we lapped people, but to her creadit, she hung on. Then she sprinted like I thought she would and got out in front of me, winning the free burrito! I guess I could have slowed up and done the same thing she did, but I was more annoyed at the fact that she didn't swim her own race and didn't want to be cheap like her. Polo has definitely been good training since I went hard the whole way and didn't feel tired. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Centinnial was super! I passed the swim girl right away and was all alone for most of the ride. I caught a few guys, but it was hard for me to push it without other people in sight. I remembered the spot where I dropped a chain last time and made sure to concentrate on shifting. I got up to 32 mph on the descent, which is fast for me. This felt surprisingly good since I have not been biking at all! Transition 2
Run
Comments: Wierdest run ever! It was like a video game with all these crazy turns and ups and downs. The only thing that helped me was long legs to leap down the stairs- run training did not come into play at all since I was never acutally running at the pace I had been practicing. Post race
