Pre-race routine:

Not much of one...probably should work on that!
Event warmup:

None - spent most of my time looking for the relay zone.
Run
  • 1h 01m 32s
  • 5.6 miles
  • 10m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

A good run, I thought I was going slower, which was a nice surprise to see my time at the end...still dealing with the plantar fasciitis which didn't become too much of an issue until the last 1 1/2 miles, when the pain was just a little too noticeable for me. Considering the pain I was in after, I'm pretty darn happy.
What would you do differently?:

Heal my foot?
Post race
Warm down:

Walked and drank water

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My foot, my stupid aching foot

Event comments:

A good race, made me realize that with more mileage and no injuries I might someday be able to do some distances....I heard from other runners (the marathoners) that they ran out of gel and food at some of the aid stations at the end of the course. Enthusiastic crowds though! Always cool to have people cheer you on!
