Run
Comments: Well, it was a 26.2 mile run, and it was getting to be a bit painful toward the end. I started with the 3:30 pacer and kept with them pretty much until about mile 15, according to my times. Mile 5: 7:59 pace (Juuuuust right) Mile 10: 7:54 pace (because I caught some sweet pace booty!) Mile 15: 8:01 pace (still on like Donkey Kong) Mile 20: 8:20 pace (ran with my friend for awhile and he was kind of slower than me. Oh plus we both stopped to drop a deuce at about mile 17.) End: Finished with an 8:30 pace. I couldn't keep up with the 3:40 people as hard as I tried through the last few hills. Everybody said it'd be downhill after mile 18. Lying dbags. Oh and apparently Austin people think it's funny to say `Last hill' on every hill. Texas funny ain't normal funny. It's kinda like saying `Dude this girl I'm setting you up with is HOT' when she's actually all kinds of not. What would you do differently?: Nothing. As usual, train more. OH and HTFU on some of the hills. Post race
Warm down: Walked about 15 feet and stretched against a fence. I picked that spot because there were some megahotties stretching near there. Oh and one of them looked a little disoriented and in distress. And we all know what that means -- easy score!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: My short legs and Japanesiosity. And of course my giant schlonger kept flopping around and getting in the way of my angelic stride. Event comments: Austin is awesome with soooo many good-looking women. ATX came over and gave us some eye candy. Thanks ATX for that. Had I run a bit faster she swears she would've shown me her boobs. I am going to train like a CHAMP for next year!!! Routine? What's that?
Ate two bags of mini-muffins. Blueberry because they're fuckin' delicious and I needed some sugar and starch. Super nummerlicious. Drank a bottle of water. Stretched. Made our way to the event and jogged about four blocks because we figured 26.2 miles wouldn't be enough for the day. Shed the base layer because I don't need to be any hotter than I already am and was good to go. Had to hurry to the start corral because we were busy taking pictures and playin' grabass with some Texas skanks.
