Pre-race routine:

Bagel with PB and Honey 2 1/4 hrs before, and a gel about 5 mins before the start
Event warmup:

Light jogging with some sprints thrown in and some light easy stretching.

Run was good, didn't push it too much but just enough to get a decent time. Was very good on the hills/bridges and passed a lot of people. Haven't done a lot of speed work yet so the speed was hard to go any faster. Strong finish.
What would you do differently?:

Not much for a C race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough speed work lately for that short of a race, also not doing a ton of running lately. But it was a C level race.

Event comments:

Good race, well organized and lots going on. A lot of people but done really well.

Course: Nice course starting along Georgia St with a downhill at the begining, over along Stanley Park and English Bay, under Burrard Bridge up Hornby (fairly steep hill) over Burrard bridge, along W 6th and then over Cambie bridge to finish.
