Pre-race routine:

Breakfast of Sustain & skim milk. Drove down to the event.
Event warmup:

No warm up, we got there 10 mins before race start, I really needed the toilet and the line was unbelievably long! I ended up starting the run 2min40 behind everyone else. I should have got there earlier! :)

Comments:

I did it!!!! Yay!!!! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to run the whole way at the beginning. I knew I could run 7-8k so I thought I would get this far and then re-assess, I decided if I was spent at that point then I would run/walk the rest of the way. But secretly I hoped I could run the whole way. And in the end I did! The last 1k was really tough because I could see the finish line and it didn't seem to be getting any closer!!!
What would you do differently?:

Not a lot. I am stoked that I ran all the way :)

Warm down:

Lots of drinking. It was really humid out there today. Stretched.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing. Except starting later than everyone. I've adjusted my time to what my HRM said.
