Swim
Comments: Swam really good. Was first in my age group and 10th overall. Water was very green and cloudy. Couldn't see anyone until I was on top of them. Navigation was tricky as the last buoy was to be passed on you left while all other on your right. Had to stop stroke several times to get my barrings. What would you do differently?: Try not to stop as much. Transition 1
Comments: Shirt was a bit hard to get on when I was all wet. I had problems getting into my clips when I got on the bike. What would you do differently?: Practice more. Bike
Comments: MY CHAIN CAME OFF!!! During my first lap just before I came into the park I lost my chain and had to pull over to fix it. It took a good 5 minutes to get it back on and then I had problems shifting gears for the rest of the race. The first hill up 70th killed my legs and I couldn't get going much faster than coasting downhill cause of my gear shifting problems. What would you do differently?: Different bike and more hill work. Transition 2
Comments: Socks took to long to put on. But other then that I thought it was OK. What would you do differently?: No socks and quick tie shoe laces. Run
Comments: I am a slow runner and I felt dead the whole run but I didn't stop at all. What would you do differently?: I've got to do more run training. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Lost my chain and need more run training. Event comments: Good first race. I will do this one again. Last updated: 2008-02-19 12:00 AM

Got early and headed to the park. Got my area setup. Decided against the shoe rubber band thing since it was only like 20 feet to the bike mount point. Got marked and checked in.
Did some light jogging and a lot of stretching.
