Run
Comments: After the warmup I did 4x100 meter strides and the legs felt good so I thought I would go pretty hard today and see what happened. Started in the Back of the A wave, first wave, and just set out easy for the first mile. Mile 2 was up shill so I worked to keep my effort up but pace went down a bit. Mile 3 up hill also effort up, pace down. This was ok because I wanted to push harder the last 3 miles. Got to mile 4 and started really working. THe breathing was good but the legs were sluggish. Not bad after 8 days of zero workouts and a Marathon 8 days ago. Mile 5 pushed it hard and chased some people I had been running with. Passed the ones I was keying off of and wanted to hold them off. Mile 6 pushed up the last hill and raced the final few people I had been pacing with. Got in the stadium and put in the kick. Kept all the people I had passed behind me. So I was pleased with my effort. PR'ed my run time by over a 2 minutes from my fastest 10k here! What would you do differently?: Colfax Marathon exactly 8 days ago. Post race
Warm down: Walked and talked with a friend and grabbed some gatorade and my goodie bag. Went to section 110, which was also my bib number, and talked with f4 folks and BT guys and gals. What limited your ability to perform faster: Marathon 8 days ago. Event comments: The best 10k in the country. Bands all along the way, great goody bags and expo at the end. Just a bit rainy and cold at the end this year. Last updated: 2008-02-22 12:00 AM

Woke up early at 4:15. Had a Mix shake, a banana, gatorade, half a cliff bar. Rode the RTD bus up and got there at 6:05. Nice to relax and kinda snooze on the bus.
Met up with the F4 group and had 3 Triathletes. Did a 8 minute jog and dynamics. Hit the porta potty one last time.
