Comments: It felt ok being that I was sick on Monday and was not even able to train at all this week. Took the first mile out too hard and it bit me on mile three. I was below my goal time though. The hills after running on a treadmill were the worst though, I have not done hill training in over five months. What would you do differently?: Train hills more that way mile three does not hurt so much, and stick to my intervals. Post race
Warm down: Walking back to the car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Being sick on Monday and not training for the hills. Event comments: This was a very well planned race with the whole neighborhoods involvement. There was a band on every corner and lots of people in their yards cheering the runners along. Parked about a 1/4 mile from event start so used the walk over as a warmup.
