Swim
Comments: I was out of the water in 20:30ish, but there was a long run to Trans 1. I was about 5 minutes behind the two guys who beat me in my AG after the long swim. Eventually a narrowed the gap on the 2nd place guy and he ended up beating me by 4 seconds and the 1st guy a bit over a minute. What would you do differently?: I really need to continue to improve here. Making progress! So in the big picture, I'm happy. Transition 1
Comments: Fastest transition in AG. This is good. What would you do differently?: nada Bike
Comments: I rode really well. I'm glad my biking is starting to come around. I got out of transition just behind Kilo Dave and used him to pace myself on the bike. I know that helped me cuz I probably wouldn't have rode quite as hard. What would you do differently?: nada Transition 2
Comments: fastest transition in AG, but I almost ran out the in door! What would you do differently?: go in the right direction Run
Comments: Very pleased with my run. 2nd fastest overall and 1st in age group. I never felt like I was pushing it either. I have been working very hard at getting up to speed on the run after the bike and I am starting to see great results. I'm looking forward to doing some longer tri's to see how this translates. What would you do differently?: not surge to the finish too soon. I passed some guy with about 200 meters to go... he passed me back in the finish chute. Turns out, he was in my AG and beat me by 4 seconds! But hey, I spotted him 5 minutes on the swim just to keep it interesting. Post race
Warm down: Beer, chit-chat with BTers, awards... oh and a short run with KiloDave. What limited your ability to perform faster: It was warm Event comments: Great race and they gave away my Cervello P2C (the guy who won my AG won the bike!) I had a very solid race. I lost it on the swim, but like I said before, if the swim was the advertised distance, I would have done much better. Last updated: 2008-02-29 12:00 AM

The God's rigged this race against the Dime... It was supposed to be an 800 meter swim and instead it was somewhere around 1100 meters due to some overnight storms. This totally ruined my buzz because I knew I was going to have more work to do just to be in the running for an AG. I seriously wanted to win my AG and would have handily if the swim course was as advertised! So it goes...
25 meter swim to get used to the temps.
