Comments: Nice course, managed well. I did first 3 miles fairly fast for me, then settled into a slower pace for the rest with a kick for the verry end. What would you do differently?: My shoes appearantly weren't quite as worn in as they should have been and got a blister or 3. Still hard for me to drink from those little cups of water at aid station and breath/run at same time. May consider a hidration pack for next run. Post race
Warm down: Water, banana, grapes, bagle and some stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Fitness. This was my first competetive run of greater than a 5k. I did much better than I thought I would, met my goal for time, but just need more miles run to imporove. Event comments: Yay my first 10 mile run in competigion sub 8 min / mile pace, no complaints. There were some really fast people running the race, best finisher was 51 min. Finished middle ish of age group and middle ish overall. Yay not bad for my first 10 mile race with some really competative folks in there. The top 50 folks finished in less than 1:06:00 for the 10 mile. Last updated: 2008-03-01 12:00 AM
