![]() Swim
Comments: Got the timing band of our first competitor and ran down to the river, enetering fairly slowly to not step on anything... Not a bad swim, had a pretty empty course as luck would have it, only down side was my goggles kept filling up with water, cought 10-15 people on the swim. What would you do differently?: not much, might be time for new goggles thou ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Fairly good transition, had to put on our cycling shirts at this transition so that chewed up more time than normal. ![]() Bike
Comments: Legs were heavy as usual on the bike today, but overtook thousands...(slight exageration) but overtook ALOT of people, mountain bikes, road bikes, tri bikes...there were all sorts. Pushed a bit, but i'm sure with some rest etc i can push much harder than that. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: flew off the bike, getting used to taking feet out on the bike now and jumping off and running...but had trouble getting my runners on with no socks...need to use some double sided tape in future. ![]() Run
Comments: Felt great on this run, didn't have foot pod etc, so was running by feel, legs felt better on the run than the bike. I never thought I would be able to run at this pace in any distance of race, 4:40 was a streach goal, so to hit 4:30 k's was ace. Overtook plenty on the run, kept a good possitive frame of mind, felt strong... ![]() Post race
Warm down: milled around chatting...a little bit of streaching What limited your ability to perform faster: Bit sore from traning, no taper etc, but this race was just for fun with some mates from work. Event comments: Good corporate tri, good bag of stuff too, and it's always good to race in the city like that. Last updated: 2008-03-04 12:00 AM
