Swim
  • 07m 25s
  • 500 meters
  • 01m 29s / 100 meters
Comments:

Last year, I submitted an accurate swim time and still passed 10+ people. This year, I entered a little faster and passed 3 people, including one starting 30 seconds in front. No hassle at all, though.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe start at the front. Lie like crazy when submitting estimated swim time.
Transition 1
  • 00m 37s
Comments:

Man...fastest T1 ever. Can't wait to see the results, to see how I ranked overall.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. Maybe some EPO.
Bike
  • 33m 45s
  • 13 miles
  • 23.11 mile/hr
Comments:

Man...did I say I love my new bike? This was a PR on this course by 1.5 minutes, and, with no race wheels. Could have gone harder, since I had tons left on the run. Race says 13 miles, but it's really only 12. but, that 23.1mph looks pretty.
What would you do differently?:

Get some wheels, go harder.
Transition 2
  • 01m
Comments:

Again, pretty flawless transition.
What would you do differently?:

Nuthin'.
Run
  • 22m 50s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

A little shaky out of the gate. Took me a few minutes to find my legs, with some tightness in my left calf that I thought would end up in a cramp. Went away after about 3 minutes. After that, off to the races. 10 second PR over this course.
What would you do differently?:

Bricks. I did none in the 6 weeks I've been back training.
Post race
Warm down:

Run about 10 minutes EZ.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Onle about 6 weeks of training after about a year off. No bricks.

Event comments:

OK...like I said before, I've only been training a bit for this race. When I signed up 6 weeks ago and got my @ss off the couch, I made a deal with myself that I'd swim, bike and run 2x a week. And I did it. It's crazy to say, esp. after a season of IM training, but this is probably the most consistent I've ever been in my tri training. The result? A PR over this course by 2.5 minutes, and a 6 minute improvement over last year.
