Couldn't breath. Ended up doing backstroke most of the way, which was OK as that's my stroke anyway. Moon was out so that was my guide!
What would you do differently?:

Practice more with other swimmers in close confinement. Get more open water swimming in.

This was my first triathlon and probably won't be my last. I found everyone very friendly and helpful. The volunteers on the course gave lots of encouragement, which really helped, especially at the end. Really well organised event. Would definately do it again if the opportunity arose.
