Pre-race routine:

Drove to the race and drank my ensure on the way.
Event warmup:

Tried to stay warm--it was cold and windy. I kept my jacket and pants on until the last minute and handed them off to my stepdad right before the race started.

Comments:

This run was slower than Saturday by far, but felt great. I totally took it easy and just had fun. I kept my HR in zone 1-2 the entire way and just had a super fun run. The weather was much, much cooler than the day before and I felt better as a result. My legs felt fresh, considering the half the day before, and most people though slower the second day seemed to agree that they felt better overall.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing! I like just having fun once in a while running and not trying for a PR or anything else. Just run to have fun! :)
Post race
Warm down:

Had a kolache-chatter with others who had finished and went home to warm up once I got my huge 3rd medal for finishing both halves. Seriously, that thing is awesome and made the whole 2 half marathon weekend challenge totally worth it! I'm a dork like that. Also, the race benefited a local battered women's shelter and they were selling last year's tech shirts and hats at a really low cost. I bought a few for my family and myself.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Running a half and biking 60 miles the day before? Oh yeah, also not feeling competitive in the least and still being a pokey runner by nature.

Event comments:

This race is great and sold out this year as its reputation is spreading. Do it next year for a change of pace and a good cause. It's really fun and a great spring warmup!
