Swim
Comments: Did pretty well on the swim. What would you do differently?: I had to do breast stroke for three laps as I was pretty tired. Transition 1
Comments: According to the rules I had to have my shoes on prior to mounting bike. I had to stop at mounting area and put shoes on. What would you do differently?: Practice mounting bike witout shoes on, Bike
Comments: Realy cold. Wind was kicking, but I was glad I put on my long sleve T-Shirt. Dropped water bottle and had to go back and get it. Cost me a little bit, but tried to make it up with gearing on the downwind side. Wind Speed: 24.2 Wind Gusts to 33.4 mph What would you do differently?: Learn to put shoes on while peadaling. This not only affected transition but first part of bike Transition 2
Comments: Much better transition. Got a quick drink and off I went. What would you do differently?: Learn the shoe thing! Run
Comments: Run went really well. I thought I was on a better pace than I was. Post race
Warm down: Due to weather no real warm down was done other than sprited walking between finish line, van and back to pick up gear. What limited your ability to perform faster: Transitions hampered overall performance. Event comments: Volunteer support was awsome. Even the police were supportive and cheering on the participants. Some things like weather were working against the event and its pre/post race events. Last updated: 2008-03-14 12:00 AM

I arrived around 0700 to set up my transition are. It was so cold that I set most of it up and then would go from the van to the Transition area or the building. Lana and Anne were there so I spent time talking to them as well.
very light stretching due to cold. I did not do any type of exercise warm up. It may have been nice but outside tempreature sucked.
