Comments: I couldn't get my breathing down at first. I rested at one lifeguard's board. After I belched a couple times, I got going again. Felt good after that. What would you do differently?: I wish I could have just figured out my breathing sooner. Transition 1
Comments: I couldn't get my wetsuit off, and as I was straining some muscles trying to do it. What would you do differently?: Take my wetsuit off before all the water drains out. Bike
Comments: Felt good om my ride until my calf locked up on the hill leading up to the U-turn. It took a little while for everything to loosen up. I was riding with the same folks for quite a while after the calf locked up. What would you do differently?: More water & missed a gel at the exchange. Transition 2
Comments: I was worried about my calf in T2. I didn't rush, but did get some more electrolytes in me. Run
Comments: Both calves locked up initially on the run. I got them streched out at a tree in the park. My back was giving me crap after that. I walked alot of the course, and still put up a decent pace for me. They ran out of water past the turn around point for the sprint. What would you do differently?: Need more time in aero position. I also need to fuel more on the bike. Post race
